J.S. Hut Bungalow Resort is situated at Than Sadet Beach on the east coast of Koh Phangan Island. This idyllic bungalow resort is surrounded by unspoilt nature where you can unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this special beach.
J.S. Hut’s charming beach bungalows sit in the centre of Haad Thansadet beach. Spacious and immaculately clean, these rooms feature soft new linens, large stone-tiled bathrooms and shining white mosquito nets. Each bungalow also has a good sized veranda with a table, two chairs and a hammock, the perfect place to escape the sun and breathe the fresh sea air.

While J.S Hut beach bungalows are the best choice, J.S. Hut Bungalow Resort also has a handful of tightly packed huts at the base of the beach’s northern cliff and smaller ones partway up the cliff. The stilted cliff side rooms are more worn but still very clean, though resort guests must ascend short sets of shaky steps to access some bungalows.
One rare treat found at J.S. Hut Bungalow Resort beach and cliff bottom bungalows is glass windows! A fancy change from the drafty wooden shutters found at most other island bungalow resorts. J.S. Hut Bungalow Resort offers two separate restaurant / reception areas, one centrally located on the beach and the other more laid back and island themed at the north end.

The central resort reception also offers money exchange, a small shop and transportation to and from Thansadet Waterfall for 10B each way. With its central location, J.S. Hut Bungalow Resort guests have easy access to everything that Thansadet Bay has to offer.
This small family run bungalow resort is very popular among Thansadet lovers. The restaurant offers exquisite Thai & Western food and an excellent view on the beach and the fantastic ocean.

For more than a century many Thai Kings have visited this enchanting spot and carved their names upon the immense rocks that beauty the Thansadet River. Especially the King Rama V visited Thansadet Waterfalls 14 times and carved his inscription on a giant stone nearby the waterfall.

WARNING! Beware of J.S Hut Bungalows Thansadet Beach Koh Phangan!
At least once a week, the bungalow owners at J.S. Hut, regularly rip people off in every manner, including injury. A small scratch on the motorcycle cost 8000 baht for us and we settled for 5000 … otherwise, they threatened us with injury and would not return our passport.
We watched them attack a tourist 3 days ago and he ended up in the hospital with stitches for moving out. This is not the first time! Another english couple who asked to move out after spending 2 weeks already were spat on and yelled at. Don’t stay at this place! They are dangerous!

Than Sadet is such a beautifull place and it seems such a shame that it can be brought down by the farang hating owners of JS. I have visited this place many times over the years usually staying at Mai Pen Rai’s where everything is peacefull but am constantly updated on the horror stories recounted from other holiday makers staying at JS. Nobody seems to do anything about it, I presume because of fear and they seem to be able to get away with anything they want.
I have in the past witnessed them firing guns at the feet of customers and regularly assaulting people. The waterfall tour boat drivers no longer bring there day trip customers to this resort as a result of this.
Nobody else from any of the other resorts wants to confront them which is understandable considering there madness but untill something is done these probems and vilolence will remain. These people are pure scum and should be avoided at all costs.
