Phangan International Diving School is an officially recognized PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort. They work within the PADI system of diving education which is performance based rather than time based. If you have never dived before, Phangan International Diving School offers PADI Discover Scuba Diving – a one day program introducing you to the world of scuba, and the PADI Open Water course, which certifies you to dive independently!

This special Life Changer diving program can be completed from anywhere between 3-6 weeks, your personal dive guide will tailor a program to suit your individual time frame. The “Life Changer 1″ programs include 11 nights accommodation which covers the first three student courses. Once your PADI Divemaster training begins they have further accommodation options.
Phangan International Diving School can provide a free pick up service from any resort on Koh Phangan Island. There are also free pool dives in a purpose built dive training pool at the dive center. Phangan International Diving School always offers courses with no more than 4 students in a group.

Unproffesional and possibly dangerous. It seems that unqualified staff are teaching discover scuba courses and that they have little or no knowlege of the marine life found on local dive sites. Most of the dive consisted of them picking up sea urchins or cushion stars to show off to the female divers while other members of the group were left unsupervised while their fins hit and damaged the coral.

I’m not sure if you are based here, or you will be back to Thailand any time soon, but allow me to explain a little about the dive school.
Phangan International Diving School was taken over by new management at the end of November, and now has a totally new team of instructors and divemasters.
I’m very sorry that you had a bad experience with our predecessors and would like to offer you your DSD again with the new school that we have here at any time you choose.
We strive to offer the highest standard at Phangan International Diving School and would be delighted to see you soon.

After booking my open water course I had a look online and found these crappy reviews. I was nervous to say the least. But I can honestly say that my experience with phangan international dive school was fantastic from beginning to end. I think it’s under new management now or something.
This dive school has great teachers, great facilities and simply amazing diving! A big thank you to my instructor Mark who was so patient and made me feel really safe. Recommend to anyone and everyone
